Petrichor is a Barcelona venture studio that builds proptech and contech start-ups in-house and carries each one from first idea to scale-up. They needed a website with the same nerve as that thesis: a digital home that earns the trust of founders, partners, and investors on first look, and makes a studio of many ventures feel like one decisive brand.
A venture studio is genuinely hard to explain. There's no single product to point at; the value lives in the method, the worldview, and a portfolio of bets. The brief was to take a big, abstract idea, turning mature industries upside down, and make it land as something specific and credible, not generic studio-speak.
We ran the whole engagement: UX research, product and experience strategy, and the full UI. What came out is a distinctive, dark, particle-driven site with a clear spine: Mission, Ethos, Methodology, Vision, Community. The structure frames Petrichor as a serious, systematic builder reshaping construction and real estate.
Most company sites have it easy: there's a product, you show it. Petrichor doesn't work that way. It builds proptech and contech start-ups in-house, so the brand has to sell a way of working before it can point to any one thing it has made.
That makes for an unusual brief. The value sits in judgement, method, and a portfolio of bets, none of which fit neatly into a feature list. And the stance is unapologetically big: construction and real estate are mature, slow-moving industries, and Petrichor exists to turn them on their head. The site had to carry that conviction without slipping into hollow bravado.
It also can't speak to just one person. Founders, operators, partners and investors all arrive with different questions, and the site had to answer them inside a single, confident story rather than splitting into four separate pitches.
Petrichor Mission section: 'The world is changing fast, construction needs to keep up'We built the whole site as one guided story, anchored in Petrichor's ethos: turning mature industries upside down in their maturity phase.
The look does a lot of the talking. A dark, particle-driven interface with green and yellow accents gives Petrichor a tech-forward, premium feel that's a world away from the usual real-estate and construction branding: the motion reads as innovation, the restraint reads as serious intent.
Structurally, we resisted the urge to dump a service list. The page moves with purpose through Mission, Ethos, Methodology, Vision and Community, carrying every visitor from why this matters, to how the studio works, to come build with us. Each section sets up the next.
And the worldview stays grounded rather than sloganeering. The thesis rests on real shifts: building efficiency, sustainable materials, circular-economy thinking, data and digitalization. Three pillars hold it together: changing consumer needs, emerging technology, and sustainability.
Petrichor Ethos section: 'We turn upside down industries in their maturity phase'A studio lives or dies by discipline, so we gave Petrichor's method its own moment: builds only what matters, and gets out of the way of what doesn't.
To make that tangible, we put the studio's working numbers front and centre: 200+ ideas explored, 5+ validations run, 3 MVPs in the pipeline, 2 already shipped. Numbers turn an abstract process into visible momentum.
We also drew out the studio's rhythm: Dream, Validate, Build, Optimize, Grow, Repeat. The promise of taking an idea from napkin to scale-up now reads as a system rather than a tagline. The Vision section then pulls back to place every venture inside an industry life-cycle: Petrichor isn't chasing trends, it's timing its bets against long, predictable arcs of change.
Petrichor methodology: Numbers that drive our methodology: 200+ ideas, 3 MVP in pipeline, 5+ validationsWe ran Petrichor through the Experience Loop, the way we connect design decisions back to real insight, and owned it from the first conversation to the final UI.
Focus. Everything hung off one hard question: how do you make a studio with many ventures feel like one decisive brand? That kept the site from turning into a portfolio dump.
Research. We got close to how founders and investors actually read a studio: what earns trust fast, what reads as noise. That shaped a story that leads with conviction.
Architect. We sequenced the narrative: Mission, Ethos, Methodology, Vision, Community. Every audience finds its answer on one path instead of wandering off into branches.
Make. We designed the full UI: the particle-driven hero, the ethos and methodology layouts, the numbers, and the community and contact moments, all on one cohesive dark system.
Evolve. We built it to grow. New ventures, new proof points, new sections can slot in without breaking the identity.
